Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms," "ToS") carefully before using the dayofthedeadyogaretreats.com website (the "Service") operated is operated by Salter Diaz Solutions LLC, which operates the yoga retreat business under the trade name Day of the Dead Yoga Retreats ("us," "we," or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Retreat Booking and Payment

A. Reservations and Investment

All reservations for the Día de los Muertos Retreat at Cocolia Hotel are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is not final until a non-refundable deposit is received and confirmed.

B. Payment Schedule and Method

  • Deposit: A $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration to reserve your spot.

  • Balance Due: The remaining balance is due no later than July 29, 2026.

  • Payment Methods: We accept payment via Zelle or mailed check to avoid transaction fees. Payment plan options are available upon request and must be formalized in a separate agreement.

  • Failure to Pay: Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the forfeiture of your deposit and cancellation of your reservation.

C. Inclusions and Exclusions

The retreat investment covers: 4 nights accommodation at Cocolia Hotel (double occupancy unless private room is selected), all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), twice-daily yoga, journaling, cultural experiences (including Altar creation and ceremonies), ritual & ceremonies, excursions (turtle release, temazcal, cacao ceremony, walking meditation), and round-trip airport transfers from Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM).

The price DOES NOT include: Flights to/from Puerto Escondido, travel insurance, personal expenses, tips, on-site massage ($100 per person), and horseback riding ($100 per person).

D. Health and Liability

By booking a retreat, you represent and warrant that you are in good physical health and able to participate in the yoga and other retreat activities. You understand that it is your responsibility to consult with a physician prior to participating in any physical activity. You agree to inform us of any relevant health conditions, injuries, or dietary restrictions prior to the retreat start date.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

This policy governs all refunds and cancellations. By submitting your deposit, you agree to these terms.

A. Deposit Policy

The $500 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.B. Cancellation by Participant

Refunds on the balance paid (amount paid minus the $500 deposit) are governed by the following schedule:

  • 6 Days or More Before Retreat Start Date (Before approximately [Retreat Start Date Minus 60 Days]): You will receive a 50% refund of the balance paid.

  • Less than 60 Days Before Retreat Start Date (After approximately [Retreat Start Date Minus 60 Days]): No refund will be issued for the balance paid or the deposit.

C. Transferability

Your spot on the retreat is transferable to another person at any time, provided you notify us in writing and provide the new participant's contact information.D. Travel Insurance (Strong Recommendation)

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance immediately upon booking to protect your investment in case of illness, family emergency, flight cancellation, or any unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from attending. We are not responsible for losses incurred due to lack of travel insurance.

E. Cancellation by Day of the Dead Yoga Retreats

We reserve the right to cancel a retreat for any reason (e.g., natural disaster, low enrollment). In the event of a cancellation by us, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made, including the deposit. We are not responsible for any expenses incurred by you in preparation for a cancelled trip (e.g., flight costs, visa fees).

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Day of the Dead Yoga Retreats and its licensors. Our content (including text, graphics, logos, and images) is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You are granted a limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on this website.

5. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Day of the Dead Yoga Retreats, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; or (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.

6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect.
